Jessica Albon, website design company ownerHi! I’m Jessica Albon. As a professional website and blog designer, I’ve worked with companies throughout the US and around the world.

I help professionals and small business owners Thrive Their Tribes by giving Presence to their websites and blogs. My clients are tired of “me too” graphic design and want help standing apart and connecting with their audience.

My website design and blog design services are good for your bottom line, too. Together we’ll make sure your new site or blog has all the elements needed to make you look great AND generate the sales you deserve. A great web presence sustains your business.

As an award-winning journalist, I know the secrets of digging into your business and coming up with the delicious, compelling details. As a graphic designer, you can trust me to ensure your newsletter’s not only nice to look at, but also easy to read, and employs all the best design techniques. As a business owner, you can rest assured that I understand just how important your web marketing is to your overall business strategy. I won’t waste your time or your marketing dollars.

Prefer to do it yourself?

You’ve done your research–you know there’s a lot of “stuff” out there on writing and publishing newsletters. And you’ve likely encountered hundreds of pages of free information on how to connect with readers, build a list of subscribers, and make your website or blog profitable.

But you’re not in the web presence business. You don’t have time to slog through all those downloads and cull out what will work and what won’t. You don’t have a lot of time to run endless experiments on the off chance that one thing you’ll test might make a difference in your results.

And that’s why I’ve assembled a small selection of great stuff that cuts through the fluff and get right to the core of what you need to know and how to take action.

Personal details

Now that we’ve gotten the business stuff out of the way, let’s get personal.

  • I’m a native Californian, currently living in North Carolina. I grew up in Santa Barbara, and yes, I love the beach.
  • I have a darling yellow Labrador named Izzy who was born in 2003. He has secret powers–no one can meet him and *not* throw the tennis ball for him a few times.
  • I graduated with honors with a BA in Global Studies after a well-rounded education in international film and art (we also studied global economics, environmental issues, and cultural complexities, but I liked the film and art classes best).
  • I created my first newsletter for a 7th grade English class. It took days of work and, though it was done on a computer, still required actual *cutting and pasting* to get the alignment just right. Software’s come a long way since then!
  • In my spare time, I design jewelry, paint and knit.
  • My first business was a bug babysitting business. I was 4 years old. It was a bit of a flop. I didn’t realize people wouldn’t care if their bugs died when they went on vacation ;-) . Since then, I’ve owned more than a dozen other businesses and have always remembered that first business lesson: make sure your tribe wants what you’re selling.
  • I’m an INFP on the Myers-Briggs test. (Apparently, along with Anne, of Anne of Green Gables, and Calvin, of Calvin and Hobbes. Good, albeit fictional, company, don’t you think?)

So, what do you think? Would you like my help with your newsletter?
